Mauro Bellanova was born in 1985 in Spilimbergo, a small village in the north of Italy. After a traveller season, living between London, New York and Amsterdam, he went back to Italy to study his degree in Rome. He graduated in Communication Sciences and Technologies from “La Sapienza” University of Rome. Thanks to the Erasmus program, he had the opportunity to study Audio-visual Communication in Madrid, at the Carlos III University.

He is a degree holder in Cinematography from the Cinema Institute of Madrid (NIC).

He has written and directed several short movies, selected in various international film festivals.

Actually he is working as cameraman, videoreporter and drone operator.

His last short movie “With both feet on the ground – The story of an unemployed hero“ is a dark comedy about the financial crisis, faith in progress and optimism.
